              Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

              ? Conducting individualized instruction
              ? Assisting in the development of instructional materials
              ? Maintaining records of students’ progress and attendance
              ? Conducting mid-term and final examinations
              ? Grading examinations, quizzes, and assignments
              ? Assisting in preparing research reports
              ? Performing other duties as assigned

              Minimum Qualifications:

              Must be a registered graduate student enrolled in a UMCP degree program in English or a closely related field; Familiarity with English as a Second Language (ESL). Ability to work in a diverse setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills


              enrollment in a doctoral program preferred.
              Genuine interest in student development are highly desirable attributes for this position.

              This is a 12-month Graduate Assistant-ship position. The salary for the position ranges from $20,392 to $22,830 plus tuition (up to 10 credits each Fall and Spring semester). The average work week is 20 hours.
