              Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

              Do you live in your text editor? Are you always on the lookout for a killer new Javascript library on npm? The Joint Quantum Institute is seeking a Javascript developer to join our science communication team. The GA will primarily help build a web application aimed at explaining quantum physics to informal learners. Support for this position is through an NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning program. This 20-hour-per-week position has a flexible schedule.

              Minimum Qualifications:

              -Current UMCP graduate student;
              -Familiarity with the Node ecosystem;
              -Experience building websites with React;
              -Knowledge of Webpack or a similar bundling tool;
              -Comfort with a Github workflow;
              -Ability to troubleshoot issues independently;
              -Excellent communication and organizational skills;
              -Excellent time-management skills;
              -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

              Preferences:

              -Familiarity with Javascript testing frameworks;
              -An eye for design
