Campus Advocates Respond and Educate (CARE) to Stop Violence is the confidential campus resource for those who have been impacted by sexual misconduct and relationship violence.

The Assistant Coordinator (AC) will contribute to the development and oversight of interactive prevention education curricula for issues of sexual and relationship violence. The AC will also provide direct counseling services, client advocacy, and crisis intervention to primary and secondary victims of sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment. The AC will help train Masters of Social Work (MSW) interns and undergraduate Peer Advocates. The AC will assist in the development of inclusive prevention education curricula for students, faculty and staff, and historically underserved or marginalized communities. The AC will assist in crisis intervention duty coverage, as needed, which includes some evening and weekend hours.

Minimum qualification: LGPC or LMSW. Preferred: LCPC or LCSW-C.

Experience:
Candidates with previous counseling/advocacy experience, experience with program implementation, multitasking and organizational skills are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the complex issues related to sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking and sexual harassment is required.
Knowledge of prevention education strategies and bystander intervention is required.
This position also requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

LCPC or LCSW-C

Hours may vary depending on program responsibilities, including some weekends and evenings. Some events require bending, lifting and the transport of displays, audiovisual equipment and program materials. Exposure to communicable diseases by virtue of work in a health care facility is possible. This position is considered essential for medically related emergencies.
